Memory and Cognitive Disorders Program

Welcome!

PatientsThe University of Florida Memory and Cognitive Disorders Clinics are dedicated to providing quality diagnostic evaluation and treatment recommendations for those suffering from memory and cognitive decline. As an academic program, we also provide opportunities to participate in innovative research designed to increase the understanding of the brain and dementia and to test promising new therapies for Alzheimer’s disease and related disorders.

The University of Florida Memory Disorder Clinic is one of thirteen Memory Disorder Clinics/Centers which receive partial support from the Florida Department of Elder Affairs, Alzheimer’s Disease Initiative, a statewide program addressing the concerns of people in Florida who are dealing with Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias.

The UF Memory & Cognitive Disorders Clinics evaluation team provides a consultative medical evaluation and summarizes the evaluation in a detailed letter; the intention of the detailed report is to help with the follow up on recommended tests and therapies. The UF Memory & Cognitive Disorders Clinics are available to the consulting physicians and to the family for ongoing consults regarding questions, discussion, or recommendations regarding long-term care management.
