Personal Info

David W. Loring is a Professor in the Department of Neurology at the University of Florida and holds a joint appointment in the Department of Clinical and Health Psychology. He earned his Ph.D. in Clinical Neuropsychology at the University of Houston and was a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Neurology at Baylor College of Medicine.

Prior to his UF appointment, he had academic appointments at the University of Texas Medical Branch, Medical College of Georgia, and Georgetown University. He is board certified in Neuropsychology by the American Board of Professional Psychology (ABPP-CN) and is listed in the National Register of Health Service Providers in Psychology.

Dr. Loring is a Fellow of Division 40 (Clinical Neuropsychology) of the American Psychological Association and is a Fellow of the National Academy of Neuropsychology. Research interests include epilepsy, aging and dementia, and hemispheric specialization.

He currently serves on the editorial boards of Epilepsy and Behavior, Journal of Clinical and Experimental Neuropsychology, and Neuropsychology Review.
